The Vault 03:48
Your room is just the same as when you left it I haven’t touched a thing Your note is on the floor The air is just as stale as when you left it It hurts to breathe It sticks to everything And if you ever want to come back home I swear to god I will fix it If it’s the last thing I do Why would you ever want to come back home If you don’t miss it That’s the last thing you’d do The water’s not as clear as when you left it It leaves a film on every glass, a taste in every mouth And we are running out A wall is buckling under the pressure And there’s a leak that can’t be stopped It poisons every vault Where are you now? It’s such a ways to go, I know To reach the surface It’s such a ways to go below And I’m emerging One more step, one more step To reach the surface One more step, one more step To find out everything you missed And if you ever want to come back home I swear to god I will fix it If it’s the last thing I do Why would you ever want to come back home If you don’t miss it That’s the last thing you’d do My body’s not the same as when you left it It’s startling to see What your absence has done to me An entrance has become a final exit And it’s a door that can’t be locked It poisons every vault Where are you now?

I Can't Stop 03:30
Is it cruel The love I’ve inspired? Can you prove That I’ve been a liar? Can you stand up real high And hope in the future? Just the same as I always was And I’m gonna lose her I can’t stop From breaking your heart again Oh, you know I’ve been consistent I bet she can barely hold the tears in lately She can barely hold it The night is young But we know how it’s gonna end The night is over And she can barely hold it in So you sold your every desire And you’re cold where I put out the fire Can you stand up real high As someone to talk to? Just the same as I always was And I’m gonna lose you

Best Mistake 03:14
It’s true what they say I’m slipping away from you Don’t be ashamed You’re not to blame for what I put you through And now I won’t be around I forget when I’m just starting I’m already through Of all my mistakes The best that I made was Don’t look away I know that look on your face It’s nothing new I should have changed But I stayed the same for you Now I won’t be around I won’t be around I forget when I’m just starting I’m already through Of all my mistakes The best that I made was And I don’t know why I try And I don’t know why I try When I’m around you You got me feeling so cold And I don’t know why I try I don’t know why I try I forget when I’m just starting I’m already through I'm holding back All the words I should say Holding back on you Of all my mistakes the best that I make is you

I haven’t learned to stand clear I move with caution as you push near to the edge I feel the pull of your gravity forcing me Into your orbit where the sunlight Fights the darkness to stay alive I’d like it better if it felt right You’d like it better if you knew what’s on my mind Then you’d come around I play the man who reads your lines I’d play the devil but you’re wearing my disguise You look good in red Don’t tell me what I’ve already heard You win it with the final word Don’t write me off so soon Now when you know you’ve gone too far You’re still reaching for the stars You want to take what’s ours Now when the world is on the run And you’ve barely just begun To leave us all undone It’s always been Whoever’s more persistant wins So don’t count me out so soon In the slices of time when our orbits align Are marked by the scars where our bodies collide They remain forever Don’t tell me what I’ve already heard You win it with the final word So don’t write me off so soon And it’s always been Whoever’s more consistent wins So don’t count me out so soon Don’t count me out

You found a way to my heart Through the spaces in between the walls All the way to the start I’m wrapped inside your head And I suppose There’s nowhere else that I would rather go Over and over Through you Into the space in our hearts The time and cells have formed a galaxy Our bodies filled to their capacity Our lives behind the sun Turning on Our life as a lowly one We’ll wait and see what the end will be In our lifetime Time will tell if we’ve been good enough If we’ve been crawling are we getting up We’ll have to wait if we’ve been good enough Light stands still in the reflection of All the things we’ve been running from We’ll have to wait if we’ve been good enough You’re clever in your mind You’re clever when you have something to prove You’re clever and you’re mine We’ll wait and see what the end will be In our lifetime Time will tell if we’ve been good enough We’ll have to wait and see if we’ve been good enough Light stands still in the reflection of All the things we’ve been running from We’ll have to wait if we’ve been good enough

Who We Are 04:35
We’ve been given away We found ourselves in an unfamiliar place It’s a place I am sure where no one goes There is a look on my face A disconnect that is growing in my brain We’re not seeing any growth potential Any progress has been accidental The rat is winning the race We haven’t even had a chance to keep his pace His sense of wrong has been overloaded His sense is off we can feel it in our bones We are on our own We’ve been fooled again Are they raising the stakes Is this a game they are forcing us to play They’ll never win if they split the difference It never ends if they never listen The rat is stuffing his face We haven’t even had a chance to fill our plates His sense of wrong has been overloaded His sense is off we can feel it in our bones We are on our own We’ve been fooled again Who we are Tell us all who we are Who we are Make us something real The rat is winning the race We haven’t even had a chance to keep his pace And at this rate you’ll get to nowhere faster You think you’ll get there when you’re falling backwards His sense of wrong has been overloaded His sense is off we can feel it in our bones We are on our own We’ve been fooled again

about

The Noise FM Los Angeles, California

The Noise FM plays melodic, beat-driven indie-rock. Sometimes the tunes get really loud with fuzzed out synthesizers and gnarly riffs. Other times, it gets quieter -- all grooves and sexy vibes. Regardless of the volume, people tend to dance.
Brothers Alex & Austin Ward formed The Noise FM in Lawrence, Kansas. After 9 years in Chicago, the band relocated to Los Angeles in 2019.
